Foil is any thickness of material thinner than .006″. Material thinner than .0005″ thick, has become more known as converter foil and can be manufactured down to .00015″ thick. In contrast, sheet material ranges from .006″ up to .080″ thick, regardless of the metal type. If you are looking for thickness greater than .080″, the product you desire is considered metal plate.
